Beacon Hill Ventures is not your normal company. It was founded in 2005 to generate income to help support a unique educational effort in the central mountains of Sri Lanka. This school, Beacon Hill Academy, provides a free, one-year program to help young adults in the area make a positive difference in their communities, by equipping them with interpersonal and technical skills, encouraging them to develop critical thinking, and inspiring them to serve others. All profits earned by Beacon Hill Ventures, EVERY PENNY, goes directly to the operating costs of the school – your purchases will have a direct impact on the lives of youth in Sri Lanka.

Beacon Hill Tea

Sri Lankan tea is famous worldwide for its quality, yet the fact that the majority of the tea industry makes profits off of the backs of the voiceless and powerless poorest of the poor – the tea pluckers – often goes unacknowledged. To work towards a better future for tea pluckers and their families, Beacon Hill sources its tea from one of the few Sri Lankan plantations that is both organic and follows fairtrade practices.
